Meghan Markle will feel “jealous” if Prince William becomes King and Kate Middleton becomes Queen, says a Royal expert.
Peter Lloyd suggests that after the recent health scare of the King, he should consider stepping down in favour of his eldest son, William.
If the King decides to abdicate, Kate Middleton would become Queen.
This idea comes after the Danish monarch’s decision to step down was well-received by the public in Denmark.
Peter Lloyd has suggested that King Charles should consider stepping down due to his current health condition.
He said on GB News: “I think that King Charles should abdicate and I think that Prince William should step up and do the job, purely because I would love to see the reaction of Harry and Meghan.”
He further explained what he thinks Harry and Meghan’s reaction would be: “Well, they’d be wild and jealous.
“Catherine would be Queen.”
Speaking about the King’s current duties, he said: “In terms of the engagements that he’s carried out, he carries out about three or four times the engagements that William does.”
The King is now resting at home after a hospital stay, where he was treated for an enlarged prostate.
He was seen leaving the hospital with the Queen, ready for some private recovery time.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are also taking a break from official duties as Kate recovers from major surgery. William is temporarily stepping back from his Royal duties to look after her and their children.
