Meghan Markle 'terrified brand will suffer' if she can't patch things up with Royal Family

Meghan Markle is said to be “terrified” for the Sussex brand if the royal feud isn’t patched up.

The Duchess of Sussex is currently exploring an apparent rebrand after previous career opportunities didn’t work out the way in which she hoped.

The 42-year-old signed with Lemonada Media earlier this year, with an new yet-untitled podcast series currently in the works.‌

Speaking to the Mirror, royal author and expert Tom Quinn said: “Meghan doesn’t want to go back to acting, but she’s terrified that if things are not patched up with the Royal Family [then] Harry will cease to be a brand asset and brand Sussex will suffer.”

With this being said, Mr Quinn added that Meghan has been “putting out feelers” now that both King Charles and Kate, the Princess of Wales are ill.

Following the announcement of her new sign, Meghan revealed that she was “thrilled” at the prospect of releasing a new podcast series.

The news of the Duchess of Sussex’s pending podcast comes less than two years after she released Archetypes, which was exclusive to Spotify. Archetypes was cancelled after just one series – which boasted a dozen episodes – but, thanks to Lemonada Media, will be available at extended platforms soon.

The couple’s deal with Spotify came to an end last year, with both parties sharing that parting ways was a “mutual agreement” and that they were “proud of the series we made together”.

A statement, which was released at the time of her new sign, read: “I’m proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting.”

In an addition to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s rebrand, the couple launched their new website – sussex.com – last month. The website poses as the spot where fans can find details of new projects and upcoming events – as well as any personal updates.
