Meghan Markle’s best friends have praised the duchess in sweet birthday messages this week as Prince Harry’s wife turned 44. The Duchess of Sussex, who celebrated her birthday on Monday, was flocked with birthday messages yesterday as she enjoyed her big day – though the Royal Family failed to issue any public wellwishes.
As well as receiving well wishes from fans, the duchess – who marked her birthday privately – also received some heartfelt social media messages from her best friends, including former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer. Abigail, who also celebrated her birthday yesterday, said the duchess was “champagne in human form”.
Along with a few sweet photographs of the pair, Abigail, who appeared on Meghan’s Netflix show “With Love, Meghan”, wrote on Instagram: “As glorious as the day I met you. Champagne in human form. A creature unlike any other.”
She continued: “Thank you for being a sister in this life, and beyond. Words can’t capture. From the rooftops.
“So grateful for your life, @meghan. Thanks for saving mine. Love, Abs. 44/4. 8/4/81.”
Another friend to publicly wish Meghan a happy birthday was Kelly McKee Zajfen, a former model who founded co-founded Alliance of Moms.
Kelly, who shared a photograph of her and Meghan enjoying some outdoor time, wrote: “Happy Birthday to you sweet M!!”
She continued: “You’re pure magic!! A force of fun, light, and so much love.
“Thank you for being the kind of friend who makes everything better (and way more fun). Here’s to the best trip around the sun yet! Love you so very much!”
It is not known how Meghan celebrated her special day, although it is believed she would have been with Prince Harry, 40, and their two children Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
The duchess is yet to share any photographs of the day.
