Meghan Markle is wishing her fans a “happy” American Independence Day in her latest videos uploaded onto her Instagram account. The Duchess of Sussex decided to create an unusual fruit platter, consisting of strawberries, watermelon, cherries, blueberries and cheese in the colours of the American flag to celebrate the holiday.
In the same plate, were a mix breadsticks, freshly cut bread, and a selection of meats shown on a separate plate. Meghan captioned her post: “Red, white and blue…. and easy to do! Happy 4th friends. Be safe, have fun.” Meghan also used a series of emojis, including an American flag and red, white and blue hearts.
The upbeat song accompanying the video was by The Andrews Sisters and titled ‘Boogie, Woogie, Bugle Boy’.
You can see a video of Meghan creating the platter on her own Instagram page, but on her brand’s page, Meghan is also seen dancing in her kitchen before starting the creation.
She then grabs a jar of her strawberry spread as a dipping sauce and tries some of the fruit dipped in the spread, and smiles. The fruit platter served on a wooden chopping board is then placed on a table with two accompanying drinks.
While preparing the spread, Meghan is dressed in a blue and white striped shirt, her hair is tied back into a ponytail, and her gold jewellery is displayed around her neck.
Fans of the Duchess of Sussex will understand this is a re-creation of her fruit platter previously seen on her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan.
The Duchess of Sussex released the first season of With Love, Meghan, back in March, hosting various of her Hollywood pals, including actresses Mindy Kaling and Abigail Spencer, as well as make-up artist Daniel Martin.
Meghan Markle is bracing for the second season of her Netflix show, which will include a new big name but will see no sign of Prince Harry, Prince Archie or Princess Lilibet, it has been claimed.
A new season of With Love, Meghan was filmed at the same time as the first season and was announced shortly after it aired.
The show featured the Duchess sharing her “tips and tricks for hosting and adding more fun and thoughtfulness to the everyday”.
