Meghan Markle’s new online shop costs around £11,000 as the Duchess is expected to make revenue off the commission she earns through fans’ purchases. The Duchess of Sussex had a busy Monday as she was particularly active on her social media.
Meghan took to her Instagram stories to post a ShopMy link featuring a collection of clothes and accessories, with the message: “Many of you have asked, so here you go! A little shopping to start the week. More to come”. The website allows users to create “custom collections of your favourite products and gift guides”. Meghan will take a commission on any purchases fans make through the links.
This type of shopping has seen a similar surge in the UK, with various influencers posting their lists on websites like liketoknowit.
On her ShopMy page – a US website that allows influencers to “monetise their influence” – the duchess has the same photograph she uses on her official Instagram page, while her collection is listed below the message: “A handpicked and curated collection of the things I love — I hope you enjoy them!”
Several of Meghan’s signature pieces are listed on the page, including her white linen shirts, striped shirts, various jumpers in her favourite colours, and her beloved YSL sandal slides.
The mostly neutral-coloured items include an oversized white shirt by Reformation for £128, a beige Uniqlo raincoat costing £99.90 and a gold Maya Brenner Happiness Retreat citrine stone necklace, made in collaboration with Meghan’s former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, for £383. The total of all the items listed rounds up to around £11,000.
Minutes earlier, the duchess posted a rare photograph of herself with her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, both on her and her brand As Ever’s Instagram pages.
The picture showed five-year-old Archie cuddling his mother’s leg as she placed her arm around him, while also carrying three-year-old Lili in her arms as the youngster held a wicker basket in her hand in the garden setting.
Meghan was seen dressed casually in a white shirt, blue jeans and a straw hat.
Lilibet was seen barefoot, wearing an adorable grey jumper and a mini straw hat.
Archie appears to be his dad Prince Harry’s mini-me, wearing a pair of grey jeans, a dark grey jumper and funky socks with slip-on trainers.
The post, which did not show the children’s faces, was captioned “Every day is a love story” alongside a dove of peace emoji.
