Meghan Markle has sent a sweet Christmas gift to one of her neighbours in Montecito this year ahead of the big day.
Speaking on a video this week, US TV presenter Oprah Winfrey revealed that Meghan, 43, had sent her a Tatcha Hinoki skincare set, which she dubbed one of her favourite things.
Speaking about the gift on video, Oprah – who famously interviewed Meghan and Harry in 2021 – said: “I love it because it was sent to me by a neighbour friend, Meghan Markle.
“She sent it with a forest awakening book because she knows I love trees.”
Meghan and Oprah are believed to have been friends since 2018, with Oprah being a guest at Harry and Meghan’s 2018 Windsor wedding.
Their friendship then made headlines again after Meghan sat down with Oprah for a bombshell interview in 2021, in which she spoke out about her experience in the Royal Family for the first time.
The interview contained some damning allegations against the royals, including allegations that conversations were had about the skin colour of Meghan’s son Archie, who at the time had not been born.
Since the interview, the friends have been seen multiple times together, including at a local bookstore near their Montecito neighbourhood, where they both live.
It is reported they both visit one another’s homes, which are just five minutes away from one another.
Oprah is also believed to be involved in the lives of Harry and Meghan’s children. Before Prince Archie, now five, was born in 2019, Oprah reportedly said she would give “enough books to last a lifetime”.
How often Meghan and Oprah see each other in their busy schedules is unknown.
