Meghan Markle has been seen comforting a teenager in LA in a new video posted on social media.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, volunteered on Monday at the organisation Altadena Teen Girls, which local girl Avery Colvert launched to support the community following the wildfires.
The 14-year-old wanted to help young girls “regain their sense of self and confidence” in the devastating aftermath of the incident, which has seen some LA neighbourhoods completely destroyed.
As well as making donations through her and Prince Harry’s Archewell Foundation, including clothing and beauty products, Meghan also gave her time to volunteer with the organisation and was seen bringing lunch for fellow volunteers.
While parts of this were shown in a reel earlier this week, another video just days ago shows a different side of the day, with Meghan seen comforting the teenager who set up the organisation in the first place when she turned up.
Although Meghan’s volunteering the week beforehand at an evacuation site resulted in some harsh criticism, with her and Prince Harry being dubbed “disaster tourists”, Meghan’s latest volunteering venture has been met with more positivity.
Commenting on the Instagram reel, one fan wrote: “Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex is a gem.”
Another said: “Meghan continuing to show up and doing good.”
A third wrote: “Lovely to see Meghan there bringing donations.”
Prince Harry did not accompany his wife to volunteer this week, however the couple are reportedly continuing to keep their Montecito mansion available to friends and family in need.
The couple, along with their two children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, have not yet needed to evacuate from their home.
It is likely the couple will continue their volunteering efforts over the next few weeks and months.
