Meghan Markle married Prince Harry in 2018, with her entire life changing nearly overnight. While the Duchess of Sussex, 44, was used to the spotlight to an extent as a result of her role in the US hit drama series Suits, royal life was a whole new experience for her.
Although it didn’t last long, with Meghan and Prince Harry stepping back from royal duties in 2020 to move to Montecito, California, to carve their own paths, there were certain things the duchess had to sacrifice to be with Harry in the first place. This included her Instagram account, which she deleted, and her lifestyle blog The Tig. While Meghan was very passionate about her lifestyle blog, which had quite a substantial following, she gave it up for Harry, and said this is something she “wouldn’t change”.
Talking to People earlier this year, she said: “Well, I loved The Tig, but I certainly love my husband more.
“So that was a choice I made at the time, and I wouldn’t change that for a second.
“My husband met me when I had The Tig, and I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me.”
While Meghan hasn’t relaunched her blog yet, with some believing this may be on the cards, she has launched ventures this year related to her love for all things lifestyle, hosting and cooking.
This includes her cooking show “With Love, Meghan”, which has now had two seasons, and her brand As Ever.
Meghan has also rejoined Instagram this year, where she has shared photographs of things that make her happy, including family snaps, food, and flowers in her Montecito garden.
The duchess has not addressed rumours that she could be making a return to her blogging days.
