Speaking to Alyson Shontell, Editor-in-Chief and Chief Content Officer of Fortune Live Media, on Tuesday, Meghan shared that she took a detour to California between the trips as she “needed to see” her children.
Alyson asked Meghan: “You’ve been all over the place, and we were talking backstage about how yes, you’ve been to Europe, you were just in New York… and you made it home for one day to see your kids?”
Laughing, Meghan replied: “Yes, I had to!”
The mum-of-two then explained: “We were talking about that because everyone said, ‘Oh, you must have gone from Paris straight to New York,’ and I said, ‘No, I need to see my babies’.
“So went back to California for a day and then continued on.”
Meghan previously spoken of feeling “not well” after being separated from her children for “almost three weeks”, with many believing that she was referring to her visit to the UK in 2022.
The couple had travelled for a short trip to the UK to complete a series of work commitments, however, later extended the trip following the death of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
