Meghan Markle received praise from her fans following the backlash she sparked after her new show’s release on Netflix. The Duchess of Sussex stars in eight episodes of With Love, Meghan, which premiered earlier this month and has already been renewed for a second season, which is expected to drop this autumn. She also launched her new brand, As Ever, which is thought to complement her new series.
Meghan’s new show has received mixed reviews from fans and has so far been blasted by critics. One review in The Guardian described it as a “gormless lifestyle filler” and “so pointless it might be the Sussexes’ last TV show”, while The Telegraph gave it two stars and branded it “insane” and an “exercise in narcissism”. But even US media gave With Love, Meghan a negative review, with Hollywood bible Variety saying the new show is a “Montecito ego trip not worth taking.” Despite the scathing reviews, the show was included in Netflix’s Global Top 10 Shows list, coming in last with 2.6 million views.
And now her fans have rushed to her support as they praised her for her ideas in her new show.
The duchess recently took to her brand’s official Instagram page to post a picture of herself walking in what appears to be her garden, dressed casually and carrying a watering can and a batch of spring onions with the caption: “Daily rituals”.
Fans took to social media to praise her on her latest efforts under the picture which was reshared by one of her fan pages.
One user wrote on Instagram: “I’ve been trying all the recipes from the show and recommending it to everyone! Absolutely loved it.”
Another one said: “I love this for Duchess Meghan! She deserves it!”
A third one commented: “Beautiful, sunshine makes you feel good although a little chilly in Suffolk Uk but beautiful sunshine.”
A fourth one added: “My husband and I watched the first 4 episodes of your With Love, Meghan, and we loved them! My husband is a trained chef although that isn’t his profession, it’s more a hobby, but he recognized talent when he sees it.”
