Meghan Markle has gushed about her husband, Prince Harry’s most viral moment during his four-day visit to the UK, with a new message on her social media. The Duke of Sussex has been in the UK since Monday, carrying out a series of engagements linked to his charities and patronages.
On Monday, Harry attended the WellChild awards in London to celebrate the efforts of seriously ill youngsters to succeed and thrive despite life-threatening conditions. While there, the Duke went viral after he was caught enjoying a balloon sword fight with nine-year-old Gwen Foster after the Inspirational Child aged 7-11 winner, born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus, challenged him to a duel with the toys made by a balloon sculptor.
Meghan shared a clip of the sweet moment on her Instagram stories and gushed about her husband.
The Duchess added two pink heart emojis to the video, which was originally shared on Hello magazine’s TikTok account.
It appears people were also impressed by Prince Harry’s ease, with one user writing in the comment section: “He is his Mothers son.”
Another one added: “Harry has the Diana touch.”
A third one chimed: “Harry is so easy to love.”
A fourth one commented: “The Prince of hearts. Prince Harry is amazing.”
On Tuesday, Harry headed to Nottingham where he announced a 1.1million donation to BBC Children in Need, which has come from his own money rather than his Archewell Foundation.
The Duke hailed his gift to support young people affected by youth violence as an “investment in futures” and urged others to step up.
He told invited guests in a speech: “This isn’t just charity, it’s an investment. An investment in futures, in hope, in keeping young people safe. But I know my contribution alone is not enough.
“Real change requires all of us: government, police, schools, charities, and importantly, businesses, stepping up and working together.”
Today, he is expected to carry out engagements in London.
