Meghan Markle drops major hint at next career move in bid to 'have the last laugh'

Meghan Markle is “trying to have the last laugh” as she pivots to becoming an “influencer”, one royal commentator has claimed.

It comes after the Duchess appeared as an extra in an Instagram reel for Clevr Blends, a vegan coffee brand she’s invested in.

The mother-of-two did not speak in the advert but is seen comically running around in the background.

According to Kinsey Schofield, host of The To Di For Daily podcast, there was more to Meghan’s appearance on the ad than meets the eye.

Schofield told GB News: “She is trying to turn all of this media attention into free press for her coffee company.”

The royal commentator continued: “She’s trying to look more likeable and silly and she’s looking like somebody who is trying to be an intern while wearing $400 (£312) sunglasses.

“She’s having a tough year and I think that what you saw in the ad was Meghan the influencer. What else is she capable of doing at this point?”

Schofield added: “I think this is Meghan trying to have the last laugh.”

It’s a view shared by Columnist Louise Roberts, who recently said it made the royal appear “more relatable” and “humourous” as she paved the way for a new career path.

She recently told Sky News Australia: “It’s the first time we’ve seen Meghan do any kind of acting which is remotely humourous, we know Harry has a fantastic sense of humour as do the rest of his family.

“The most successful royals have a great sense of humour so to see Meghan attempting humour, I’m not going to knock her for it because my view is that they need to get more humour.

“They need to be more self-deprecating and making more jokes about themselves first rather than people making jokes about them, South Park is a classic example of that.

“I think if this is the path she’s going to take to be a bit more funny, it will actually make her more relatable.”
