A Catholic priest has branded Meghan Markle’s Netflix show ‘With Love, Meghan’ as “b***** awful” and aired his opinions of the show in a scathing YouTube video. Father Brendan Kilcoyne describes the scenes in Meghan’s show to his audience, ranging from Meghan’s bee-keeping, to creating bath salts and getting pretzel snacks ready for her friend.
He pointed out the mother-of-two’s “blindingly white” and “pristinely clean” bee suit despite the former actress claiming she has been collecting her own honey for a year.
Discussing Meghan’s relationship with the Royal Family, the priest also urged his audience to “drink in the mediocrity and savour the narrow escape that one of the most distinguished Royal lines in the world has just had”.
The eight-part show, ‘With Love, Meghan’ initially received widely negative reviews from UK publications, with The Independent and The Guardian giving the Archewell production one out of five stars.
Audiences reacted to the show giving the lifestyle venture an audience score of 2.5 out of 10 on the popular TV rating service, IMDb.
Fans of the Duchess of Sussex, however, praised Meghan’s Netflix venture online. One wrote: “This show is just what I didn’t know I needed. Absolutely love this So happy that season 2 is coming.” Another said: “I love the show. I’m rewatching it.” A third commented: “I watched the whole thing in a day. And I’ve just been rewatching!!”
Prince Harry even made a brief appearance in the last episode, with the two embracing as they hold drinks on a sunny outdoor patio and toast to her new business venture.
Former TV series star, Meghan, married Prince Harry in 2018 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor. The couple stepped down as senior royals in 2020 and moved to California.
Since then, the pair have started a production company and charitable foundation, and pursued various ventures, including their debut Netflix show, called ‘Harry & Meghan’, documenting their lives within the Firm.
Meghan also previously hosted a Spotify podcast Archetypes about stereotypes against women, and launched a lifestyle brand called American Riviera Orchard in 2024 – which was re-branded to ‘As Ever’.
