An insider has revealed how Meghan Markle and Prince Harry swiftly got around inside one of the world’s biggest amusement parks, as fans have wondered how the royal couple kept their identities private during their visit to Disneyland in America.
When Harry and Meghan were in more public spaces, their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet wore Mickey and Minnie Mouse caps and glasses to protect their identities, and they appeared to keep the glasses when they were meeting members of the cast. A source revealed to Hello! Magazine the family likely benefited from a special package allowing them to keep away from crowds. They would also have been allowed to use cast member entrances that are backstage in order to skip the queues. Disney’s website also shows they have a Private VIP Tour service, which helps “enjoy some of your favorite attractions efficiently”, which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may have taken advantage of.
Generally, Harry and Meghan prefer to keep their children out of the public eye and when uploading images and footage of their visit, they made sure that their faces were obscured in the footage shared by using heart emojis.
Meghan and Harry took their two young children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, to see the attractions at Disneyland for part of Lilibet’s birthday celebrations. The birthday montage showed Harry beaming while riding a Buzz Lightyear ride with Lilibet, and they went on attractions such as the log flume and carousel.
One snippet showed both Lillibet and Archie having the chance to meet Disney princess Elsa from Frozen. In a cute moment, Meghan holds her children’s hands as they slowly walk over to take pictures with the Disney princess.
Meghan captioned the posts, “Thank you @disneyland for giving our family two days of pure joy!” with Peggy Lee’s “It’s a Good Day” playing in the background.
Fans took to social media to question how the trip remained private without any photos leaked from fans. One social media user wrote: “Could Disneyland have invited them? And ensured privacy?”
Another added: “You wanna tell me that they visited Disneyworld and no one else took a picture of them when they realised that Harry and Meghan are out and about with the kids? No one posted a picture online saying ‘guess who we just saw?'”
Earlier in the week, Meghan released photos of her daughter’s birthday, including never-before-seen images of Lilibet with both her mum and dad.
Meghan’s posts featured pictures of her with her daughter, of the young royal with her father, Prince Harry, as well as a video of Harry and Meghan dancing before Lilibet’s arrival. Furthermore, in a black-and-white snap, she was seen cuddling the princess, who was sitting on her lap.
