Meghan Markle and Prince Harry share cosy Valentine's dinner at luxury Italian restaurant

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle enjoyed a cosy Valentine’s Day dinner at an Italian restaurant. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex took a break from their Invictus Games duties to dine at the posh Italian eatery, Il Caminetto.

Earlier this week, the Royal couple flew to Canada for the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025’s One Year to Go celebrations. They were spotted skiing on Wednesday before heading to the fancy restaurant for a Valentine’s Day treat.

Meghan was all smiles as she left the restaurant arm-in-arm with her husband.

In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Harry appeared to be holding onto a black gift box tightly. A source told the publication that the couple had a very private meal together.

“They sat in a secluded corner of the main restaurant and were like any other couple on Valentine’s Day. They were both smiling the whole time and kept touching each other’s arms. It was great to see them looking so in love,” they said.

The couple then drove away in their plush Ford Expedition SUV.

Meghan looked stunning during the outing, dressed in a chic red coat and black wide leg trousers. She carried her belongings in a red clutch bag, while Harry chose a navy jumper and denim jeans.

Meghan must have been thrilled with the options at Il Caminetto, as they serve her favourite wine. For a cool £217 per bottle, guests can savour a bit of Tignanello wine, which inspired the name of Meghan’s now-closed blog, The Tig.

The restaurant also gave Meghan and Harry a chance to look back on their engagement. When they announced their engagement in 2017, it was shared that Prince Harry proposed while Meghan was cooking a chicken at home.

Il Caminetto offers a Fraser Valley chicken ‘saltimbocca’ for $45.50 (£26). This dish features prosciutto and sage wrapped chicken breast, brussels sprouts, farro verde and white turnip roasted chicken wing jus.

Il Caminetto is one of Whistler’s priciest restaurants. They’re known for their prosciutto appetizer for £16.80, a 10oz New York beef striploin for £44, or a lobster and saffron linguine for £29.15.

Harry and Meghan’s posh dinner follows recent criticism over their website rebrand. The couple unveiled Sussex.com earlier this week, following the launch of their SussexRoyal.com website in 2020.

Some critics have suggested Meghan and Harry’s new move has risked provoking “complaints from the Palace.” One source said: “They are going to have real trouble with the use of Sussex. It is a royal title and if there is any hint of commercialism about this it will be shut down. It’s just staggering they cannot see how gauche it is.”
