Meghan Markle celebrated the launch of her first As Ever products earlier this month, with all goods selling out in less than an hour. While many people raced online to buy her various spreads and preserves, plenty of people also rushed onto the As Ever website to buy the Duchess of Sussex’s flower sprinkles.
While she spoke in her series about putting these sprinkles on various food items, especially desserts, she also revealed this week that she put these flower petals onto more unusual dishes. Speaking at the Time100 Summit event in New York City, which she attended as a key speaker, Meghan said the sprinkles help create a “little bit of magic”. She also admitted she would put the flower petals on salads and scrambled eggs.
She said: “I think it speaks to the tiny moments of joy that are so effortless and just create a little bit of magic that we’re all craving in our everyday.
“Little tiny little flower petals that are dry, I started putting them on salads, I started putting them on scrambled eggs.”
Meghan’s As Ever flower sprinkles sold for $15 a pot. It is likely she will restock the popular product in the near future.
While the duchess, 43, may be a fan of sprinkling the flower petals on food, it seems that not everyone is quite so keen.
On X, a number of people have mocked the duchess and shown a completely different view when it comes to flower petals.
One person wrote online: “Yes, who doesn’t love garden clippings in their eggs?”
Another said: “I think I’ll just go with the classic combination of salt and pepper.”
