Meghan Markle has given a new update regarding her lifestyle brand, As Ever, by sharing a rare new photograph featuring a beloved family member, just hours after she made a cryptic comment about taking a “step back” to think about the brand’s future plans. The Duchess of Sussex’s brand shared a new post on its official Instagram account late on Wednesday night.

As Ever’s post showed, Mia, the Sussexes’ rescue beagle, is inspecting a basket of fresh vegetables presumably picked by Meghan, who is thought to have taken the photo, from her Montecito garden. Meghan’s basket was filled with various vegetables, including lettuce, broccoli, peppers, carrots, corn and spring onions.

The post was captioned: “The unofficial quality inspector of this morning’s garden haul.”

It comes hours after the Duchess made a cryptic comment about her brand’s future plans.

As Ever is understood to release collections seasonally, and its first one included Meghan’s infamous raspberry spread, honey, flower sprinkles and various teas and cookie mix.

But in a new interview, the Duchess hinted that her As Ever products might not be restocked straight away, after they sold out in 30 minutes when they first launched last March.

She told US business outlet Fast Company that instead of restocking, she wants to “take a step back, gather data and figure out what As Ever could be” and that she plans on announcing new products in early 2026.

Meghan said: “I want to really focus on the hospitality angle of As Ever, but as we take the learnings, we can understand what the customer’s needs are seasonally.”

A trademark application for As Ever has already given clues about what Meghan’s new products could be, as it included items like cookbooks, tableware, cutlery, and servingware.

The Duchess also hinted at exploring the fashion industry in the future, however, for the moment, she wants to build a brand focused on the single idea of her “home”.

She explained:”My heart is very deeply in my home. Everything comes from being rooted in the love story of your home and garden, and then you can imagine different verticals coming out of that”.
