Country singer Megan Moroney has the rumor mill churning after she was photographed with her lock screen visible after the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, seemingly showing her posing with U.S. soccer star Christian Pulisic.
Rumors that the two could be an item extend back to July, with the new photos being the latest possible sign they’re romantically involved.
Moroney’s lock screen appears to show an image in which the singer arms are around Pulisic, who looks to be wearing a white T-shirt in the photo.
People began linking the two in July after they were reportedly hanging out together at a rooftop bar in Nashville and then a Pulisic fan account posted a photo on Instagram that showed the American soccer star taking a family member to one of Moroney’s concerts in Florida.
Speculation continued after she had posted pics to social media from a trip to Italy that included a stop in Milan — the city that is home to Pulisic’s club team, A.C. Milan.
Neither Pulisic nor Moroney have publicly commented on the relationship rumors.
Pulisic split from his girlfriend of two years, golfer Alexa Melton, earlier this year and things took a very public turn ahead of the World Cup over the summer after she accused Pulisic of cheating before recanting the accusations shortly after in a statement.
The Hershey, Pennsylvania native spoke positively about his relationship with Melton in an interview with Time in May.
“I only look at her in the most positive way,” he said. “She was a lot of fun, and she supported me in every way. She wanted to push me to enjoy my life a little bit more and do things with her and do things just in general. And I was grateful for that.”
Pulisic has been working his way back to form for his club side after suffering a bone bruise along with microfractures to his tibia and fibula during the World Cup.
He was not included on the U.S. men’s national team roster for the recent September-October international window as he worked his way back into shape.
Pulisic had been the subject of a different kind of rumor earlier this year as well, related to his future at A.C. Milan, as MLS-side New York City FC privately and publicly expressed a desire to bring the American back to the United States to play for the club.
A.C. Milan has been keen on keeping him in Italy,
His contract expires at the end of the season, but the Serie A club holds a club option to extend his contract for another year.
Pulisic told reporters at the beginning of October that he is “very happy at Milan right now and for the near future as well.”
“So, yeah I’m not thinking about the contract renewal but I am very happy here, I want to stay at Milan,” he said, according to the Associated Press.
