Perhaps no one has higher expectations for NYU women’s basketball than head coach Meg Barber’s 8-year-old son.

On game days, when Barber asks her son what he thinks will happen, he confidently says, “You’re gonna win. What else is there for you?”

His premonitions have been remarkably right for nearly three years and counting.

NYU recorded its 90th consecutive win Friday night, tying UConn women’s team for the second longest win streak in NCAA history. The Violets demolished Hardin-Simmons 103-61 Friday night, advancing to the NCAA Division III Elite Eight and keeping alive their hopes of winning their third consecutive national championship.
