McDonald’s fans gobsmacked after seeing what Japanese menu has on it

Fast food giant McDonald’s offers different menus around the world – and one travel lover has shared what is on the menu in Japan – leaving people stunned.

While travelling to a new place, many of us immerse ourselves in local culinary delights, leaving familiar fast-food haunts behind. But often some of our favourite big name brands offer different menus in different countries.

McDonald’s tailor their offerings to suit regional palates and customs, promising a unique twist on the familiar Golden Arches experience back home.

McDonald’s explained their approach, saying: “We try to adapt our menu to reflect different tastes and local traditions for every country in which we have restaurants. We’re keen to respect cultural differences and so every country has its own policy of developing menu items.”

You can nibble on a nasi lemak burger in Singapore, enjoy an authentic slice of parmiggiano reggiano in Italy, or bite into a hearty McKroket in The Netherlands. One woman has revealed which surprising items she managed to get at McDonald’s in Tokyo, Japan, in a viral video.

Aventorous creator @downtotravel, shared what she order from a McDonald’s in Tokyo. She orders a McFloat Peach Lemonade, a Cheese Teritama burger, standard fries, and oddly alluring Shaka Shake Potato Ume-Nori Salt packet for seasoning. To cap off the meal, she indulged in delicately flavored chocolate and strawberry churros.

On the fries, she commented: “Not bad but I think the regular fries are better.” She gave the fries a 7.5/10 rating.

She found the burger enjoyable, scoring it 6.5 out of 10, but noted that the sauce was “too sweet”. However, she was utterly charmed by the McFloat Peach Lemonade, which she adorned with a perfect 10/10, vowing to order it again.

The chocolate, strawberry churros dessert, however, left her underwhelmed, describing them as “so dry and chalky” and assigning a mere 4/10.

Social media users were quick to react to her reviews. One exclaimed: “Omg no way this looks insane.” Another questioned: “Why does this look healthy?”.

Others expressed their admiration for the Japanese offerings: “Everything in Japan is good,” and “Japanese McDonald’s is just something else,” while one enviously remarked, “Japan has all the cool McDonald’s stuff. I’m so jealous.”

The excitement spread with comments like: “So excited to try Japan McDonald’s.” Another said: “Omg never thought I would think McDonald’s is cute.” Another user admired the drink, saying: “That drinks looks so pretty.”

One UK resident hoped for more variety, stating: “McDonald’s in the UK needs way more variety,”.

However, not everyone was as thrilled. One individual remarked: “No honestly, I think Japanese McDonald’s is the worst I’ve tried.” Another chimed in with: “Japanese McDonald’s is lowkey not good,”.
