Marvel Rivals developer NetEase is about to unleash a new Season of content on PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
Headlined by the addition of new character Emma Frost, Marvel Rivals Season 2 has an April 11 release date. The new content will be available to check out after a period of server downtime, which begins at 10am BST UK time. That’s 2am PDT for fans living in the US.
According to NetEase, server downtime is scheduled to last for 2-3 hours, which means the game should be back online between 12pm and 1pm BST on April 11. Players will be able to download and install the season 2 update during the downtime.

The new season introduces Emma Frost as a playable character, alongside a new Battle Pass containing a variety of different skins.
As you can see from the Battle Pass preview video below, the new costumes include outfits for the likes of Squirrel Girl, Luna Snow and Magik.
That’s in addition to the Spider-Oni skin, the Red Runway Veil Black Widow outfit, Joe Fixit Bruce Banner Costume and the Star Spangled Captain America variant.
Needless to say, the Battle Pass will also contain a variety of sprays, nameplates and emotes, as well as other rewards.

Emma Frost, meanwhile, is a brand new Vanguard character joining the game on April 11. First appearing in the X-Men series, Emma Frost has the ability to transform her body into diamond, giving her greater attack power and defensive capabilities.
Frost’s Psionic Seduction Ultimate move will prevent opponents from using their Ultimates, all the while forcing them to move towards her.
Other new Season 2 features include the addition of a brand new Domination map, titled Hellfire Gala: Krakoa.
NetEase explains more: “The 2099 Hellfire Gala is underway, and Emma Frost is dazzling in her finery, expertly mingling with the crowd.
“With guests being properly entertained and the Mutants’ guards down, the timing is perfect for Ultron to crash this invite-only event! It’s up to the Quiet Council to get these unruly invaders under control, and their guests safe.”
