Marshall Manning might still be a few years away from his next steps in football, but that hasn’t slowed his college recruiting process.

The 15-year-old son of Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning already has four schools in his back pocket, with offers from powerhouses Miami and Ohio State, as well as Purdue and Missouri State, according to 247Sports.

Manning is a freshman at the Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tenn., and is the backup behind Keegan Croucher, a 2027 commit to Ole Miss. Manning is a 2030 recruiting class member, so he still has plenty of time — and reps — ahead of him before he decides. It’s also likely that he could see more offers come his way when he gets into more games. Manning also wears No. 16, a nod to his father’s number at Tennessee.

The younger Manning has not yet received an offer from the Volunteers.

Manning, of course, comes from a lineage of quarterbacks that dates back to grandfather Archie, dad Peyton, uncle Eli and cousin Arch, who is the starting quarterback at Texas and is a presumptive top-10 draft pick in 2027.

He made his first two snaps in late August, completing his first pass. Baylor head coach Erik Kimrey said then that he hoped to get Manning into more game action this year.

“We planned it,” Kimrey told reporters postgame, according to USA Today. “I want Marshall to play in every game this year, even if it’s just like two plays like that. Hopefully it’ll be a lot more, but I felt like — we need him next year, and he needs to get ready. … We planned the plays he was gonna run, and he went in there and did a good job.”

Last Friday, entering in the third quarter with Baylor up by 35 points, Manning helped lead the first touchdown drive of his high school career. According to USA Today, he completed three of four passes for 35 yards.
