Marine Le Pen said she will not “submit” to the court’s decision after she was barred from running for office. Speaking on French TV channel TF1, Le Pen described the court’s decision as “political”. 

Asked if she could become prime minister in 2027 if president of the National Rally Jordan Bardella was to be elected as France’s president, Le Pen said she won’t submit to the court’s decision.

She confirmed she will be appealing the sentencing.
