Mariah Carey sings in Italian at the 2026 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony

American pop star Mariah Carey stunned in a sparkling silver dress while singing the song “Volare” in Italian during the 2026 Winter Olympics opening ceremonies.

Creative director Marco Balich revealed in January that the Queen of Pop was going to perform “a beautiful song in Italian.”

“She will enchant many of us,” Balich said. Carey’s mom, Patricia, was an Opera singer.

In addition to Carey, Italian singer Andrea Bocelli, along with singer Laura Pausini are expected to perform.
