A cordon was in place with a huge police presence after a triple stabbing left a man fighting for his life. Three men were rushed to Salford Royal Hospital with stab wounds after the incident at 2:30am on Monday morning. One man was in critical condition while the other two were discharged but remain in police custody.
Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers responded to reports of people fighting with knives on Cobden Street in Salford at 2:45am this morning (Monday, May 26, 2025). Two men were taken to hospital with stab wounds.
One male suffered a minor injury, but the other male suffered a serious injury and is in a critical condition. Three men – aged 27, 31, 33 – have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. They remain in police custody. A scene remains in place while officers conduct their enquiries. This is an isolated incident with no wider threat to the community.”
