A man has reportedly been arrested after allegedly ‘slapping Jack Grealish in the face’ following Sunday’s Manchester Derby at Old Trafford. The England international had been involved in the goalless draw between Manchester City and Manchester United.
As per The Daily Mail, Grealish was allegedly attacked by the supporter while exiting the pitch following this weekend’s meeting at Old Trafford. The report claims the man called Grealish over before assualting the 29-year-old, with a police investigation having since been triggered.
Grealish isn’t believed to have been seriously hurt by the attack, with a man having been arrested by Greater Manchester Police. A statement from the police force on Monday read: “Alfie Holt, 20, of Haven Drive, Droylsden, has been charged with assault. He will appear at Manchester Magistrates Court. This charge relates to an incident which took place at Old Trafford Football Club yesterday.”
