A man has been killed on a busy high street following a “disturbance” at a Wetherspoons pub in London.

Police have arrested a 42-year suspect on suspicion of murder following the reported incident at The Watch House pub in Lewisham on Saturday night.

He remains in custody at a south London police station.

Emergency services rushed to the scene in south-east London after being called at 8.39pm. They found a 63-year-old man suffering from life-threatening injuries.

He was rushed to hospital but later sadly died. Police believe he had been assaulted following a disturbance at the Wetherspoons pub.
