A man has been charged after a man his 60s was allegedly raped outside a church in North West London. The Metropolitan Police said they were called at 12.49am on Wednesday, July 23 to reports of a sexual assault on Station Road, Harrow. Photos said to be from the scene shared by Harrow Online showed police tape and forensic tents outside St John’s Church.
A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has now been charged with rape, police said. The alleged victim is being supported by specialist officers. A spokesperson for the force said: “Bruke Desalagne, 32, of no fixed address has been charged with rape on Wednesday, July 23. He was set to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court this morning (Thursday, July 24),” My London reports.
“Officers were called at 00:49hrs on Wednesday, 23 July to reports of a sexual assault on Station Road, Harrow,” they added.
“The victim, a man in his 60s, is being supported by specialist officers.
“Mr Desalagne was arrested at the scene on suspicion of sexual assault and charged as above.”
