New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani insisted he has “no plans” to fire NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, despite rabid demands from his radical cronies — as he appeared alongside the Big Apple’s top cop to honor fallen officers Tuesday.

“Jessica Tisch is the police commissioner. I have no plans to change that,” Hizzoner told reporters in Queens at a press conference ahead of the memorial service.

“The reason that I made the decision to have Jessica Tisch as the police commissioner was because of her record of uprooting corruption from the upper echelons of the NYPD,” he added.

Hizzoner’s comments are sure to anger his far-left base, who have feverishly demanded that the socialist poster boy get rid of the city’s top cop and disband two elite NYPD units following the shooting by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in the Bronx last week.

The call for Tisch’s head comes even as the Big Apple, under her leadership, saw the fewest number of murders over the first six months of any year in history, according to NYPD statistics released in July.

Both Mamdani and Tisch then attended an event at the New York City Police Memorial in Lower Manhattan on Tuesday — where 42 officers’ names were added to the sprawling wall on Liberty Street.

It was the pair’s first joint appearance after City Hall ordered the department to review its use-of-force protocol a day earlier, in what critics suggested was just a crafty move by the slippery socialist to silence growing anger from anti-cop supporters.

Both Mamdani and Tisch — who didn’t appear to show any sign of tension towards each other over the directive — gave remarks at the memorial, which was first dedicated in 1997 and honors New York’s Finest who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

The mayor noted that 41 of the officers being recognized Tuesday were first responders who passed away from 9/11 related illnesses.

NYPD detective and father Didarul Islam — who was tragically murdered in July 2025 when a deranged gunman stormed a Midtown office building — was also honored.

“I thank you for loving these New Yorkers, for raising these New Yorkers, for tending to them as they tended to all of us,” Mamdani told the ceremony of grieving families gathered at the memorial.

“While we cannot fill the silence they left behind, we will refuse to let their memory fade,” he added.

Tisch graciously thanked Mamdani for attending the ceremony before delivering her remarks.

“Here, we pause. We pause to remember the people who helped make all of that possible, and who lost their lives in service to others,” she said.
