Algerian ‘sex offender’ Brahim Kaddour-Cherif has been arrested by police following a huge manhunt that was launched after he was mistakenly released from prison in another major embarrassment for Sir Keir Starmer’s government.
Police had been desperately trying to track down Kaddour-Cherif, 24, who was accidentally freed from HMP Wandsworth last Wednesday (October 29).
Kaddour-Cherif was serving a sentence at HMP Wandsworth for trespass with intent to steal, but had previously been convicted for indecent exposure. It is understood he is not an asylum seeker but is in the process of being deported after he overstayed his visa.
