M65 drivers are facing delays after an accident closed all lanes in one direction between two junctions on the motorway. Travel alert site Inrix wrote: “M65 Westbound closed, queueing traffic due to accident from J4 A666 Earcroft Way (Darwen/Blackburn South) to J3 A674 Chorley Road (Blackburn West/Wheelton).
“Lane three of three has been closed on the Eastbound carriageway as a result of the incident on accident on the Westbound carriageway.” Inrix further added: “Delays of nine minutes on M65 Westbound between J4 A666 Earcroft Way (Darwen / Blackburn South) and J3 A674 Chorley Road (Blackburn West / Wheelton). Average speed 10 mph.”
