The M5 in Somerset is closed in both directions between J22 (Burnham on Sea) and J23 (Puriton) due to a serious lorry fire, National Highways announced on October 25.
Incredible images from the scene show the lorry being engulfed by flames, while emergency services work to try and quash the blaze.
The traffic caught within the closure will be released via the rear of the queue, National Highways said, adding long delays of around 60 minutes should be expected.
The organisation also urged people to remain in their vehicles and “await instruction from a Traffic Officer or Police”.
