A serious crash involving a lorry has forced shut a section of the M20 in Kent. The incident reportedly took place on the eastbound carriageway of the M20 between junction 8 for Hollingbourne and junction 9 for Ashford.
Kent Police are on the scene investigating, working alongside National Highways traffic officers who are managing the flow of traffic. According to Kent County Council’s highways team there is slow-moving traffic on the M20 between J5 and J8 due to the closure.
A National Highways spokesperson said: “Due to the severity of the incident, the closure is likely to remain ongoing for a protracted amount of time.”
