Traffic is building on the M1 after as multiple emergency service vehicles respond to an accident on the major motorway.
One witness at the scene posted on X: “Seen 8 ambulances, 6 cop cars & 5 fire engines pass on the hard shoulder and now a helicopter in the sky.
“Avoid using the M1 into London. Hope everyone is ok #M1 #M1motorway.”
They added that the incident occurred “just after Watford near Edgware Way area.”
