Emergency services have rushed to tackle a vehicle fire on the M1, with “extreme delays” expected as a result.
Some lanes are currently closed and people are advised to find alternative routes if possible.
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said in a statement: “Crews from Staveley Fire Station have been dealing with a vehicle fire on the M1 Northbound just prior to J30.
“Traffic is extremely backed up and some lanes are closed. Find alternative travel routes if available.”
