The WNBA season winds down with a select few regular-season games on the horizon.

One of them is the league-leading Lynx taking on Caitlin Clark and the Fever in game one of a home-and-home series Tuesday.

The Lynx (32-10) have been paced by the return of Napheesha Collier and Rookie of the Year favorite Olivia Miles.

Oddsmakers have installed them as slim 1.5-point road favorites before they head back to Minnesota to host Indiana in their finale Thursday.

Lynx vs. Fever prediction, best bet

The Lynx hold the best away record in the ‘W’ (18-3) entering Tuesday night and edged out the Fever 108-100 in their first meeting in early August.

Kelsey Mitchell of the Fever did register a game-high 37 points, but Indiana lacked a true answer on defense for Miles.

The first-year starter finished with 28 points, going 11-of-14 from the field, while adding six assists and four rebounds. The TCU product dominated with 23 points at halftime.

Miles just surpassed Clark’s single-season rookie scoring mark, and I see her trend of big scoring games continuing. While the Fever feature a prolific scorer in Mitchell and Clark’s sensational playmaking at point guard, they lack notable defensive traits.

According to WNBA Advanced Stats, Indiana sits 11th out of 16 teams with a shaky 108.7 defensive rating.

This matchup carries massive weight for postseason seeding, as Minnesota continues its push to lock up the league’s top seed and stave off the Valkyries.

As they chase overall home-court advantage throughout the playoffs, expect Miles and company to take business on the road, making her point total an ideal target.

Miles has scored 20 or more points in three straight games; her ball-handling and scoring prowess should once again take over for the Lynx.

The Play: Olivia Miles Over 19.5 points (-113, FanDuel)
