Los Angeles Lakers superstar guard Luka Dončić is heading back to America after spending much of the offseason in his home country of Slovenia.
This means that Dončić has to leave his two daughters (Gabriela, who was born November 2023, and Olivia, who was born last December) in Slovenia, with his ex-fiancée, Anamarie Goltes.

Dončić is clearly upset about parting ways with his two daughters, which he revealed with a heartbreaking Instagram post on Sunday.
The post showed several photos of the Lakers star interacting with his two daughters. It was captioned (in translated English), “G+O, no matter where in the world your daddy is. No day passes when you wouldn’t be in my heart. Wherever I go, you are always with me. I love you! ❤️ ❤️”.
Dončić has had a tumultuous past year or so regarding his family. Goltes was seeking child support from the Lakers superstar for the couple’s two kids earlier this year, after news broke that the two had broken up.
Goltes submitted a request to dismiss her petition for child support back in August. But she still lives in Slovenia and has custody of their two daughters, which is clearly hitting Dončić hard.
Perhaps the Lakers star can use this as motivation once Los Angeles’ regular season begins.
