Luka Doncic goes fishing during NBA All-Star break vacation

Luka Doncic went from the NBA hardwood to a boat deck in a hurry.

Just after the Lakers point guard wrapped up All-Star festivities at Intuit Dome in Inglewood on Sunday, he was seen fishing in a tropical location on Tuesday.

And, in a picture he shared to his Instagram page, the 26-year-old showed he had some big success on the rod.

Doncic, who’s 6 feet 8, could be seen holding a massive fish that was around half his size, and he seemed pleased with the haul in the photo.

He captioned the pic with a “Somewhere out in the Middle of Nowhere” location tag, clearly excited to be away from work in Los Angeles for a few days.

Of course, If there’s anyone who’s deserving of the days off in the sun, it’s Doncic. He played in 42 games in the first half of the season, and averaged 35.5 minutes per contest.

He also battled some bumps and bruises, and was forced to miss the Lakers’ last four games while dealing with a hamstring injury.

Doncic did play limited minutes in Sunday’s All-Star Game and said afterward everything “felt good.”

As for LA’s next game on Friday against the Clippers, Doncic wouldn’t commit to suiting up for that just yet, but one way or another, he’ll be at Crypto.com Arena for the matchup with a way better tan.
