Liverpool will be hoping to stay at the summit of the Premier League table with victory over Tottenham this weekend. The Reds are only two points clear of Chelsea and will need to claim all three points to ensure top spot on Christmas Day.
Arne Slot was able to rest a number of key players for the Carabao Cup victory over Southampton earlier this week. He is expected to name a full-strength side against Tottenham, who beat Manchester United in a seven-goal thriller on Thursday.
The north Londoners will have the benefit of home advantage and will be high on confidence following their win over the Red Devils. However, they will need to be at their very best to stop Liverpool from leaving the capital with all three points.

Liverpool predicted XI vs Tottenham
Goalkeeper – Alisson
Caoimhin Kelleher was given the nod in midweek but it seems certain that Alisson Becker will retake the gloves against Tottenham. He made his long-awaited return from injury earlier this month and has not suffered any further setbacks in the last few weeks.
Alisson conceded twice in his last Premier League game against Fulham but will be hoping to put things right with a clean sheet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Defence – Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson
There is likely to be a change on the left side of defence with Andrew Robertson no longer suspended following his red card against Fulham. He served his one-game ban in midweek, meaning he will be eligible to face Tottenham on Sunday.
The other defensive positions essentially pick themselves with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk set to feature from the start. Joe Gomez is also expected to play in the middle with Ibrahima Konate sidelined through injury.
Midfield – Mac Allister, Gravenberch, Szoboszlai
Ryan Gravenberch has excelled for Liverpool this season and will be tasked with keeping things ticking in the middle of the park. He will be joined in the engine room by Alexis Mac Allister, while Dominic Szoboszlai is likely to be deployed further forward.
The likes of Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott will be hoping to come off the bench and make an impact in the second half.
Attack – Salah, Diaz, Jota
Luis Diaz could get the nod over Cody Gakpo against Tottenham after being given a well-earned rest in midweek. Darwin Nunez could also be displaced with Diogo Jota fit again and ready to stake his claim for a starting spot.
Mohamed Salah, meanwhile, will be looking to lead by example on the right flank after scoring 13 goals in just 15 league games.
Predicted Liverpool XI vs Tottenham: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Jota.
