Steve Rotheram, mayor of the Liverpool City Region, has revealed that four people are ‘very, very ill’ in hospital after a car drove into a crowd of fans shortly after the conclusion of Monday’s title parade. Almost 50 people were injured in the incident, which took place on Water Street in the city centre. Four children were among the 47 injured with 27 people being taken to hospital.
