A major road in Liverpool was blocked to traffic after a huge fire broke out at a former pub. Merseyside Fire and Rescue were at the former Eagle Vaults pub on Scotland Road and Penrhyn Street. Firefighters were focusing on the roof of the Eagle Vaults.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue said: “Residents and businesses nearby should keep doors and windows closed. If you have an existing medical condition, keep medicines close and if any ill effects are experienced, dial NHS 111 for advice.”
