An electrical fire erupted at Penn Station Thursday morning, snarling LIRR service, officials said.
The cable feeder fire broke out around 11:20 a.m. on the tracks inside the major Midtown hub, spreading to the wall, according to the FDNY.
A total of 26 FDNY units responded, drawing 84 firefighters and EMS workers to the scene, the department said.
No injuries were immediately reported.
Delays, cancellations and skipped stops were reported on multiple LIRR lines as a result of the fire, according to the MTA’s website.
