Lindsey Vonn’s harrowing moment on the slopes isn’t stopping her Olympic dream just yet.

The 41-year-old skier’s coach said Vonn is still preparing to compete in the Winter Olympics beginning next week after her scary crash Friday that resulted in her being airlifted off the snowy track.

Vonn did not participate in the final tune-up race before the Olympics on Saturday at the super-G competition in Switzerland due to the left knee injury sustained Friday.

“No she is not racing (Saturday) but preparing for Cortina as usual,” Chris Knight told the Associated Press via text message.

Vonn is attempting to make her Olympics return following her un-retirement in 2024, but this crash potentially could affect those plans since she doesn’t have much time to recover.

Her first event would be next Sunday in the Women’s downhill competition, and she reportedly also aims to compete in the super-G and team combined events.

She posted a positive message Friday after the fall, stating she was discussing the situation with her doctors and team and would continue to undergo exams.

“My Olympic dream is not over,” Vonn wrote.

The injury kept her out of Saturday’s final tune-up before the Milano Cortina Games, and provided a semi-update while wishing her teammates well.

“Unfortunately, I won’t be able to race today… wishing all my teammates a great race 💪🏻 🇺🇸,” Von wrote. “Thank you for all of the love and support I have received. Means the world to me.

“Doing my best right now…. 🙏🏻🤞🏻.”

Vonn has been gearing up for her fifth and final Olympics and looks to expand her medal collection that includes a 2010 Gold medal and Bronzes from 2010 and 2018.

She is the only American woman to triumph in the downhill event, and is also a two-time World Championship Gold medalist.

Vonn has battled injuries throughout her career, undergoing surgeries in both knees. She revealed in 2024 that she now has a titanium knee.
