Discount supermarket giant Lidl has revealed plans to open hundreds of new stores across the UK, targeting a mix of town centres, retail parks, and standalone sites. The company is seeking locations that meet its standard store requirements, including unit sizes between 18,000 and 26,500 sq ft, at least 100 dedicated car parking spaces, and plots of 1.5 acres for standalone stores or up to 4 acres for mixed-use developments.
For London and the M25 corridor, Lidl is targeting approximately 100 additional stores, including flexible formats in shopping centres, high streets, and retail parks, with or without car parking and near key public transport links. Below is the full list of UK locations where Lidl is planning new stores, as outlined in their site requirements and proposals.
