
Liam Greentree will be remembered as the primary return for one of the greatest offensive players in Rangers history.
Now, the 20-year-old forward will determine how he is remembered.
With Artemi Panarin using his no-trade clause to steer his way to Los Angeles, the Rangers were unable to land the haul they had hoped for in a deal for their star forward, ultimately settling for a conditional third-round pick — plus a 2028 fourth-round pick if the Kings win two playoff series — and Greentree, who was selected by L.A. with the 26th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.
The 6-foot-2, 204-pound winger from Ontario has spent the past four seasons with the Windsor Spitfires (OHL), where he served as captain the past three years, and recorded 299 points in 223 games.
