Fortnite developer Epic Games is getting ready to release yet another new experience for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Android.
In the past few weeks alone, Fortnite fans have been treated to a Juice WRLD concert, the launch of Fortnite OG, the release of the game’s first-person Ballistic mode and now LEGO Fortnite Brick Tales.
A family-friendly rival to something like GTA Online, LEGO Fortnite Brick Tales is an open-world social experience featuring a ton of jobs and activities.
And the good news is that you can start playing very soon, as LEGO Fortnite Brick Tales has been given a December 12 release date.
The new mode, which can be found in the dedicated LEGO Fortnite portal, has a 2pm GMT UK release time.
In terms of what fans can expect, LEGO Fortnite Brick Tales is described as a social role-playing experience that takes place in an ever-evolving city.
According to Epic Games, players will be able to go to band practice at the beach, learn spells at a Hogwarts style school, and even go clubbing at a rooftop bar.
Epic explains more: “Gather your friends (and make new ones!) as you explore vibrant locales, like sunset-drenched beaches and the mysterious Mourndale Academy, alongside 31 other players.
“Become the ultimate socialite and hang out in restaurants, house parties, and rooftop clubs. Activities in LEGO Fortnite Brick Life are better together too; host a band practice down the beach, grab a bite to eat with friends, or race through the streets on hoverboards.”
Players will also be able to purchase property, and decorate their homes with a host of furniture items.
However, in order to afford the items, you’ll need to get a job. Jobs include Parcel Courier, Academy Professor, Security Officer, Scoundrel (prankster), Sushi Chef, Bobom Milk Tea Bobarista and Fortune Teller.
You can change jobs at any point, and can accept requests from local businesses on your in-game phone.
Fans can unlock the Chord Kahele Outfit by playing the Fortnite Mobile App, as well as the Mr Dappermint Outfit and Explorer Emilie Outfit by linking accounts.
