TVs become streak-free when you use one simple 50-50 cleaning method that experts swear by. Streaks on your TV can be more than annoying and they can be difficult to get rid of if you don’t know the best tips and tricks. TVs, like other appliances and furniture items in your home, should be cleaned regularly as they can gather dust and retain dirt from a number of sources. Plus, streaks on your TV can be irritating and distracting when you are trying to watch something.

But there is one simple trick to get rid of streaks on your TV, and it uses only two components. The method involves distilled water and vinegar, which you likely already have in your home. To get rid of streaks from your TV, you simply mix these two together, creating a concoction that is half water and half vinegar. Then, all you need is a microfibre cloth to complete the job.

With any machine or appliance, owners should check the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions as they might have specific guidelines. However, this method also works wonders for LCD screens.

Before doing anything, you should make sure that your TV is plugged out. For safety, also plug out surrounding electronics. This will prevent electric shocks while you clean.

Once you have determined that it is safe to start cleaning, grab your microfibre cloth and dust the TV screen first.

After that, it is time to grab your mixture. Add one part vinegar and one part distilled water to a spray bottle for ease. Simple spray that onto your microfibre cloth and wipe your screen.

If you prefer, you can try this method with just distilled water first. However, if streaks persist then add the vinegar. Make sure you are wringing the cloth tightly to ensure that it is only damp, npot soaking wet.

Vinegar is an effective way of getting rid of streaks on surfaces. It is especially useful for glass shower doors that easily gather watermarks.

Your TV screen should be wiped and cleaned regularly to prevent a difficult-to-remove build-up of dirt.
