'Leave the girl alone!' Royal expert slams backlash over Princess Kate picture editing row

Princess Kate has been strongly defended as she comes in criticism following her picture editing fail, with a Royal Family expert insisting she is “doing the best she can.”

Social media has been abuzz following the release of Princess Kate’s first image since her January abdominal surgery.

The princess apologiesd for any “confusion” resulting from the editing error, attributing it to her “experimentation” with Photoshop skills.

Royal correspondent Charles Rae said: “I am appalled at the amount of nonsense that’s spoken about this photograph today. I think this is a beautiful photograph.

“It’s a great photograph. It was meant to be a Mother’s Day photograph. And she took the opportunity to say thanks very much.

Following the backlash and speculation, Princess Kate issued an apology.

She said: “I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused.

“I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C.”

Hours after its release, international picture agencies withdrew the photograph of Princess Kate and her children.

Royal sources said the Princess of Wales made “minor adjustments” and that she and the Prince of Wales wanted to offer an informal picture of the family together for Mother’s Day.

“This was an amateur, family photograph taken by the Prince of Wales.”
