Amazon has several sales each year including Prime Day where the retailer offers discounts on very popular products, but only if you have an Amazon Prime subscription. Today and tomorrow, October 7 and 8, 2025, are such days, known as Prime Big Deal Days.
We’ve scoured the deals early doors to see which are worth your attention (and possible pounds), with one of the outstanding offers coming in the form of Apple’s most popular tablet.
The latest 11-inch iPad is on sale for £284, a 13 percent discount on the tablet’s £329 RRP. Apple never directly discounts iPads itself, so you have to rely on third party retailers to do so.
A look at Amazon price comparison site Camelcamelcamel shows that this is the cheapest ever price this iPad has been sold for on Amazon since its launch in March of this year.
Just remember that to access this special price you need to be an Amazon Prime subscriber, which costs £8.99 per month. If you haven’t signed up before, you may be entitled to a 30-day free trial, which you can redeem today to access the deals. You can cancel your subscription before the month is up so you’re not charged.
£284 a solid price for the latest regular model iPad considering it is only seven months old. Available in yellow, blue, silver or pink, the iPad has 128GB storage. Everything happens via and through the 11-inch Retina LCD screen, the biggest the display has ever been on Apple’s most affordable iPad range (that is, not the Mini, Air or Pro line).

You also get an upgrade over previous iPads with the Apple A16 chipset powering the device. It’s not the latest silicon, so won’t be as powerful as the latest iPad Air or Pro, but it will fly through normal tablet tasks with ease. If you want an iPad to watch videos, send emails, browse the web or make video calls, look no further.
Those video calls should look great thanks to a 12MP front facing camera that is on the long side of the iPad. This means you can hold the iPad landscape when on video calls, or prop it up in an optional case or keyboard accessory. It’s a small change over older iPads, but moving the camera to this edge means the iPad acts far more like a laptop when used for such things, rather than having the camera awkwardly off to the side.
You’ll also be able to download the latest iPadOS 26 for this iPad, meaning you can finally use the iPad with free form windowing when hooked up to a mouse and keyboard like you’d expect on a PC or Mac.
One thing to bear in mind though is that this iPad is not compatible with Apple Intelligence, Apple’s AI tools, so you miss out there. But for less than £300, this iPad is a price you will only see for these two days in October.
