Firefighters were battling a blaze that spread into a commercial building in LA’s Chinatown Thursday night, sending crews rushing to the scene just north of downtown.
The fire broke out around 7 p.m. along North Main Street, initially burning outside before spreading into a one-story commercial building, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Fire crews were working to knock down the flames as the Los Angeles Police Department warned the blaze could cause severe traffic disruptions in the area.
Cops urged drivers to use caution and expect delays near the scene.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
Officials had not reported any injuries.
